Teaching Garden for Kids

Our primary youth development program, the Teaching Garden for Kids (TG4K) is a 10 week evidence-based nutrition education program focused on healthy eating, gardening and environmental sustainability. The program is geared for youth ages 6-12 using participatory action-based learning and STEAM. The goal of the program is to increase knowledge youth have about the connection between food, health, and the environment; increase their consumption of fruits/vegetables; and to help shape positive attitudes about healthy eating and the environment.
